TECHART Says “Power Kits for Everyone!!!”

The last 7 days have been busy ones for TECHART. They’ve announced not one, not two, but three new power kits for various Porsche models. All of the new power kits are focused on Porsche Turbo model vehicles, effectively making the best in each line (arguable…I know…but let me have this one) even better. First […]

Porsche Carrera GT Wrapped In…….Post It Notes???

I guess when you have more money than you do time, this is the type of thing you do for fun. Wait, more time than you do money….uh….well…. I just don’t get stuff like this. Why in the world would someone do something like this? If it’s for publicity’s sake, at least hire a decent […]

Weekly Porsche Wrap

Porsche will continue to offer manual transmission option – Porsche quelled the fears of many a purist this week. Company CEO Matthias Muller confirmed a manual transmission will continue to be available on the Porsche 911 for as long as there is demand. This makes sense since they did just develop a new seven speed […]

New Panamera Spy Shots Thanks To 9 Magazine

9 Magazine posted spy shots yesterday of the new Porsche Panamera testing on the Nürburgring. Based on the shots, it looks like the Panamera will get a facelift, similar to the look of the new Porsche 911 that was officially announced last week. My first thought when seeing these was, “Already?!” Doesn’t seem like the […]

Unbelievable Pit Stop Video

I don’t quite understand how this driver got into this predicament. Maybe he took a wrong turn trying to get into the pits. This is a great video though with an amazing end story. The driver, Jeroen Bleekemolen, went on to not only secure the pole position, but ended up winning the race!

The ultimate tailgating rig…a Porsche 356 turned Car BBQ – I saw this over on PorschePurist.com a couple of weeks ago, and it’s a must check out on their site. For the Porsche enthusiast who has everything, this one-of-a-kind BBQ will surely add some sizzle to the next Porsche Parade outing. Not only is there […]

Porsche 911 GT2 RS Review Video

I go back and forth on whether or not I prefer the UK version of Top Gear over the USA version. Just seems more authentic, likely due solely to the fact that the UK is where it started. In the end, though, it’s still a great car show and this clip of Tanner driving the […]

Weekly Porsche Wrap

Hidden message on Porsche 918 RSR video – In the video below, you can see “…im CAD hat’s passt” inscribed on the new Porsche 918 RSR in handwritten script. Translated in English, it means “it fits in CAD!”. It evidently referred to the unwelcome discoveries that pieces shown to fit during the computer design phase […]

How To Pronounce Porsche

I came across a bunch of pronunciation spoof videos on Gizmodo a few days ago. Some pretty funny ones. They, of course, had to include one for Porsche. On that note, I’m always a bit amazed that people can’t seem to lock in the pronunciation of Porsche. Especially TV personalities and reporters.

My Time With No. 550-01 – A 1953 Porsche 550 Prototype

Today I finally made it down to an exhibit at the Portland Art Museum that’s been in place for several months now called Allure of the Automobile. Scheduled to be dismantled this coming Sunday, September 11th, I barely made it in time. The exhibit features 16 cars dated between 1930 and the mid 1960s. One […]
