Chocolate Porsche 911

Yeah, literally chocolate covered! I have to say, in the last year of writing on PorschePerfect.com every day, I’ve seen a lot of strange Porsches. The gold ones still leave me scratching my head, but this one takes the cake. In fact, I didn’t really believe it could be true when Lyndon sent it to […]

Porsche Tuner TECHART Announces Winter Wheels

At first I thought this was kind of a weak press release, and I suppose for a company like TECHART, with the products they are capable of producing, it is a bit on the light side. However, after reading it through and thinking about it a bit, it’s actually a pretty cool product offering. The […]

Tee It Up…Would You Rather Poll

Another week (or so), another poll. Here are the results: Would You Rather…Have a 1955 Speedster or a 1989 Speedster? 1955 Porsche Speedster: 61% (11) 1989 Porsche Speedster: 39% (7) Total Votes: 18 A pretty evenly matched poll this time around, but in true Porsche spirit, the older car won out. I wonder if anyone […]

Porsche Picture To Start Your Day

James O sent this one in (maybe I should just revert to James since the other James is never on the blog any longer). He took this one while on vacation a few years ago. It was taken outside the Monte Carlo. A heck of a line of cars!

Slippery Road Video

????? This is one of those videos that’s poor quality and I would normally move on from pretty quickly, but I just couldn’t stop watching. I suppose it’s the anticipation of what’s coming around the corner. The snow falling towards the very end was like kicking the man while he was down. Made me laugh.

Weekly Porsche Wrap

Porsche Takes A Bite Out Of Crocs – Joe sent me this story this week (thanks Joe!). It seems Porsche has taken on Crocs over the use of the Cayman name. Porsche, of course, has the Cayman model. Crocs has a sandal named Cayman. Porsche is claiming that Crocs’ use of the Cayman name infringes […]

Porsche Documentary Video

This video was linked to from a recent Porsche Club of America newsletter. Usually the word “documentary” is a solid signal that I should avoid whatever it’s attached to, however, there is one exception. That’s when it’s connected to Porsche in some way, shape or form. I clicked on the link to the video on […]

2010 Porsche 911 Turbo ROCKS!!!

Don’t you love it when stuff in print supports what you personally feel? This happened to me this past weekend when I came across an article written on Autoblog.com about the 2010 Porsche 911 Turbo. Here’s how the article opens: It’s faster to 60 mph than a Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 or Ferrari Enzo. Porsche’s fastest […]

Could A Reborn 356 Be The New “Entry Level” Porsche?

I’ve mentioned this before, but rumors continue to circulate about the possibility of a reborn 356 coming from the depths of Porsche’s Design department. Course for every one rumor of a 356-like car, there’s two saying the new sub-Boxster is going to be a 914-style ride. Motorauthority.com had an interesting blog post detailing more reasons […]

TECHART Releases New Kit for Porsche 997

TECHART sent me an email this morning about a new performance kit they’ve just released for the Porsche 997 Carrera S and 4S models. The kit has a few options including boosting “upper engine speed range” as well as delivering a “customized sound experience.” They use a new “Racing” flap-controlled exhaust system to achieve the […]
