Porsche 924 with a Little Something “Extra”

If you’re looking for a Porsche with a little something “extra” in it, this 1977 Porsche 924 may be the car you’re looking for. Take a look at what extras it’s got…….nope, not under the hood……inside:

Yep, garbage! If you’re trying to sell a car, even a beat to crap junker, why in the world can’t you at least PICK UP YOUR GARBAGE OFF THE FLOOR??!! Just makes no sense to me.

Heck, I know people who wash and fold clothes before they put them out at a garage sale where they’ll be lucky to get two bits out of any of them. At least take a baby step towards salesmanship and show a little Porsche pride.

I’ve seen this car on Craigslist.com for a few weeks now.  Down to just $650. If it didn’t have garbage on the floor it might have made the Tempting Porsches list.

  1. wow. people just keep amazing me, i like how there is no door panel either on the driver side. i can only imagine what the rest of the un-pictured part of the car looks like

  2. Hey, that makes MY tempting list. I mean let’s be honest, that’s what it would look like if I owned it.

  3. Maybe someone should make this guy and offer on the car for like $300. We can all chip in and take turns driving it.

  4. Cringe. I’ll give him $200.

  5. he should just donate the car to a fire department so they can burn it for training. that way he can write something off for taxes

  6. Hmm, is there a protocol for putting a Porsche to rest?

Consider the American flag. The government has stated that, “The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning”

Though James idea of burning this porsche is ‘dignified’, I think that it may have adverse consequences for the environment.

There’s always the option of sending your Porsche to a scrapyard, but is this a fitting end for such a fine automobile?

    Any thoughts?

  7. I recently bought a newer Passat from a young mom who was in a “fire sale” situation. When she told me it was in good condition, I was expecting to see a car in good condition. When I looked inside, I was amazed at how filthy the interior was. It was just sick. She hadn’t cleaned it, vacuumed, picked up or even a quick anything. There was everyting from french fries to mcnuggets to cheerios, ground in to the carpet and mats and crevices. I really couldn’t believe it. It wasn’t so much that a young mom would have a messy car…that I expect. My cars weren’t all that clean when my kids were young. However, since she was selling the car and she knew people would come look at it, I really thought she would at least clean it up…just a little. Good news…cleaning a car is pretty easy. In fact, it was kind of fun to see the difference a couple of hours could make. The car turned out great.
