Tempting Porsches #25

Tempting Porsche #1

The first Tempting Porsche for today is a 1983 911 SC. It’s got a tea tray spoiler and is a classic red with black interior. Just under 80k miles on it. Here’s some info from the Craigslist ad:

Air conditioning; AM/FM stereo; Single CD player; Power windows; Power door locks; Power seats; Leather seats; Tinted windows; Moon roof; Driving/fog lights; Alloy wheels; Rear spoiler

Asking Price: $12,990

I have to say, this car was love at first sight for me the moment I saw the ad on Craigslist. I absolutely loved everything about this car, even the 80’s mesh alloy wheels. It’s the epitomy of the Porsches I grew up loving and dreaming about. I haven’t been out to look at this car, and probably won’t, because I’m afraid I’ll end up buying it. I don’t have space for it at the moment, otherwise I would have been first in line to drive this thing and seriously consider buying it.

It’s been up on Craigslist for a few weeks, and I’m guessing you could pick it up for around $11,500, maybe even a little less. Be a great buy if it checked out and a heck of a lot of fun to drive.

Tempting Porsche #2

The second Tempting Porsche for today is a black on black 1999 911 Carrera Coupe. It’s a little higher on the mileage scale with just over 106k miles. Here are some of the options listed in the ad:

Local Car traded in on 911 Convertible, Black with Black leather. Runs and drives outstanding.

– ABS (4-Wheel)
– Air Conditioning
– Alloy Wheels
– AM/FM Stereo
– Cassette
– Cruise Control
– Dual Front Air Bags
– Dual Power Seats
– Leather
– Power Door Locks
– Power Steering
– Power Sun Roof
– Power Windows
– Premium Sound

Asking Price: $15,995

This Tempting Porsche is a “Sid” Porsche, so it would need to be checked out first, but could prove to be an excellent deal. At under $16k, even with the mileage, if nothing major turned up in the Pre Purchase Inspection, you’d have a great ride at a very very reasonable price. Makes me want to buy it and fire up another Porsche Giveaway on the blog!

  1. I love the 83 I think you should give it a look. this looks lik one of those drive a free Porsche story cars.

    • @James – I don’t know how many times I’ve looked at those pictures and the Craigslist ad. There’s just something about that car.

  2. I just love the first car, it’s so clean for a car that has that amount of miles on it.

  3. I love the Red one also. Those are just beautiful cars.

  4. Red 911. Goes together like bacon and peanut butter. (It’s good – trust me)

  5. Bacon and peanut butter, sounds good. Ryan I think in honor of the 500 mark plus a little Christmas spirit you need to, besides what could possibly be more important that is taking up garage space?

    • I can’t say that bacon and peanut butter sounds good. Are you talking about a PB&B sandwich??? Well, I have 3 cars in my garage already.

  6. If any of the three cars in your garage are not a Porsche, You have run out of excuses Ryan, wimp….BUY IT !! lol

  7. Ryan, just straight up peanut butter on some bacon. Don’t knock it till you try it! It fits right into my beer and ice cream diet.

  8. Ryan, I was thinking it would be cool if you filmed yourself road testing and reviewing these cars for sale and posted the video.

  9. love the SC – that and the Targa, and the 912’s are perfect cars to customize and update – this looks like it was nicely done

  10. It’s awyals a relief when someone with obvious expertise answers. Thanks!
