New Porsche Panamera Model

Late last week, Porsche announced a new Porsche Panamera model to round out it’s Panamera lineup. This happens to be the “entry level” model filling in the spot on the lower end. It’s an all-new, 300 hp V6 version. Two versions of this V6 model will be available: the standard Panamera with rear wheel drive and the Panamera 4 with active all-wheel drive.

The models include some great features as standard equipment:

  • Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK)
  • Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system with navigation
  • Electric moonroof
  • Power liftgate
  • Bi-Xenon headlights
  • Bluetooth telephone connectivity
  • Universal audio interface for connecting devices such as an iPod to the PCM system

The engine is a 3.6-liter V6 with Direct Fuel Injection. The 300 ponies on tap produce 295 lb-ft of torque. The engine is built on the same line as the other Panamera powerplants.

Probably the best thing is the entry level pricing. The standard Panamera will base at $74,400, while the Panamera 4 will open at $78,900. Not too shabby.
